About Pearl
Pearl was rescued from the streets of North Louisiana. Estimated to be about 10-12 months old, she weighs 28 lbs and is believed to be some type of wirehaired terrier mix, possibly a Jack Russell Terrier and/or Westie. With her coarse, wiry coat, she sheds very little. True to her lively nature, Pearl is an active girl who loves to run and play, both with toys and other dogs. She's sweet and welcoming to everyone she meets. In her foster home, the other dogs are older and less playful, so a home with another energetic dog of her size or larger would suit her well. Pearl is housebroken and will scratch the door to go outside. She's bright and eager to please, even catching treats tossed her way! At night, she sleeps quietly in a crate and does well when crated if her foster mom leaves. Being still in her puppy phase, she may chew things if left alone too long. Although she hasn't been around cats or children in her foster care, Pearl shows no signs of aggression with food or toys. Her foster describes her as a sweet and adorable girl who will bring joy to a lucky adopter. Pearl will thrive in a home that can help her maintain her energy and continue to work on basic training. A well-exercised puppy is a happy puppy! Pearl is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and is up to date on preventatives. She'll be ready for her forever home in mid-October. Currently in foster care in Choudrant, LA, Pearl is open to out-of-state adoptions, with transport available along the East Coast. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
