About Sage

Meet Sage! Sage is a resilient young female dog available for foster-to-adopt as she continues to gain weight and recover. When she and her companion Rosey were surrendered to the rescue, they both arrived in desperate need of care β€” emaciated and dehydrated. Despite their condition, Sage approached us with her tail wagging, ready for affection. After a much-needed bath, we discovered her paws were in rough shape, with some parts even missing chunks. Her nails curled painfully between her toes, leaving small cuts. It’s heart-wrenching to think of the discomfort she faced, yet she remained eager for love. For her healing, we've been wrapping her feet and now she just needs to wear protective shoes when outside. Sage is incredibly patient and sweet through it all. If you want to be part of her remarkable recovery, come meet her in person! Sage is in Hobart, IN, and ready to brighten your home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
