About Sammy

Meet Sammy, a joyful addition to the Bean’s Beagles family. This 3-year-old tricolor male Harrier mix weighs 42 pounds and brings a lively spirit. Sammy was rescued from OC Animal Care after a challenging past where he was passed among several owners, which likely contributed to his fearful behavior. Though he has a bite history, he hasn't shown aggression since coming into our care. Currently, Sammy resides in a secure boarding kennel where he’s undergoing training with a dedicated trainer. He's making progress, but he’s still uneasy around men and passing trucks. With consistent training and support, Sammy is slowly learning that the world can be safe. Ideal adopters for him will need patience and understanding. Sammy requires a home with no other dogs, children, or cats so that he can thrive and receive the individual attention he needs. Sammy’s ideal caretaker will play a crucial role in helping him adapt and realize that he deserves a loving home. Join us in welcoming Sammy and give him a chance at a brighter future!
