Patches is a lovely adult female mixed-breed dog, around 3 years old. She’s medium-sized and has a unique harlequin coat with a short length. Patches is house trained, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations. She currently resides in Trinity, AL.

Meet Patches. Some dogs look at you as if they know they've been given a second chance. Patches, a striking 3-year-old Pointer/Pit Bull Terrier mix, has that look. With her freckle-covered coat and happy spirit, she radiates love and warmth, eagerly awaiting the right family. Her journey began as a stray on the streets of Houston, Texas. After finding herself in an overcrowded shelter, her time was running out, and she was at risk of euthanasia until rescue intervened, switching the narrative. Now, after two months in foster care, Patches has truly come into her own. She gets along well with both dogs and people, showcasing her affectionate nature and joy in being part of any family activity. Despite a rough start, she has not lost her ability to love and trust. It seems she has faced challenges, possibly having had puppies and once being heartworm positive. Thankfully, she has completed her treatment and is now ready to embrace a new chapter. Patches has survived a lot: the streets, the shelter, and has discovered what it feels like to be safe and cared for in her foster home. Now, she’s on the lookout for her forever family — someone who appreciates her for who she is, freckles and all, and provides her with a cozy spot to curl up in.
