About Bruce
Meet Bruce! Bruce is a nearly 3-year-old black-and-tan Dachshund, weighing in at 17 pounds. He's neutered, house trained, and crate trained. This little guy knows basic commands and enjoys playing fetch, tug-of-war, and snuggling under warm blankets. Bruce has not been well socialized and can be reactive toward strangers and other dogs. However, once he gets to know you, he opens up. He has experience living with another dog and children aged three and up. Due to his separation anxiety, he may mark when left alone and has a knack for escaping, particularly when cars pass by. Therefore, a secure fenced yard, along with careful management, is essential. This little guy will thrive in a patient, Dachshund-savvy home that can help him build confidence. Bruce loves basking in the sun and needs regular walks, along with a secure yard to explore. Due to his personality, he’s better off in a single-family home or duplex rather than an apartment. If you meet the criteria, including having a secure fenced yard and a stay-at-home or part-time working environment, Bruce could be your perfect companion. He’s ready to bring joy and laughter into a loving forever home!
