About Doc

Doc is a friendly and playful 4-year-old hound weighing in at 55 lbs. He has a warm personality and is known for being great with cats and other dogs. While he thrives in a home with adults or older kids, he may not be the best fit in environments with very young children due to his boundary-setting challenges. He was returned to the rescue after being adopted in 2022, and now he's looking for a forever home where he can thrive without the stress of young children. Doc has experienced some challenges in his life, including losing a back leg in an accident, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. He's active, needing both physical exercise and mental stimulation, yet he equally enjoys lazy afternoons snuggling on the couch. Doc is neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. If you're ready for a loyal companion who is ready to share love and affection, Doc is waiting for you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
