Leo
AvailableLeo is a 6-year-old altered male large Husky/Shepherd mix with a beautiful white and cream coat. He is vaccinated and currently located in Henderson, NV. Although he has not been house trained yet, Leo is a sweet dog who requires time to acclimate to a new home.
About Leo
Meet Leo. This sweet Husky mix is searching for a loving home where he can receive the time, attention, and structure he truly deserves. Leo was surrendered due to his owner's demanding work schedule which left him without the care he needs. He has shown signs of separation anxiety along with some chewing and accidents in the house when left alone. At the shelter, Leo has been friendly and social with the staff. His previous owner noted that he gets along well with most dogs, but a meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure compatibility. There was an incident where Leo bit his ownerβs wrist, the reasons for which are unclear, so it's essential for potential adopters to take introductions slowly and allow Leo to adjust at his own pace. Recently, Leo has been urinating frequently at home, so an evaluation by a veterinarian is advisable to rule out any underlying medical issues. Remember, a dog's behavior is often influenced by stress and changes in their environment. Leo is eager for an experienced, patient family who can provide him with the consistency, enrichment, and one-on-one time that he needs to thrive in a new life.
