At 7 years old, he weighs 48 lbs and embodies a quiet strength after surviving a life-threatening ordeal where he was trapped in a canal during a heavy rainstorm. Despite his past, Burtie came through unscathed physically, but he's still learning to trust and feel safe in new environments. Burtie is a gentle, independent soul. He thrives in a calm environment and takes time to warm up to new experiences. While he doesn’t seek constant attention, his loyal nature shines through once trust is established. Burtie gets along well with other dogs, and he has also shown a fondness for cats and children. He would do best in a patient home that understands his needs and gives him the space to come out of his shell at his own pace. In return, you’ll find Burtie to be a truly rewarding companion with plenty of love to give. For those interested, he comes with a 7-week group training course included.
