About Mama Ruby Ann

Meet Mama Ruby Ann. After everything Ruby Ann has gone through, you’d never guess it by how much she loves people. This approximately 4-year-old Pit Bull/Black Mouth Cur mix has lived quite an adventure. In South Carolina, Ruby Ann was shot after entering someone’s yard, but thankfully a local rescue provided the safety she desperately needed. It was there they discovered she was pregnant. Before giving birth, Ruby Ann made her way north to a different rescue, where she safely delivered her puppies and became an incredibly devoted mother. She raised her little ones with fierce love, doing everything required of her. Now, as her puppies prepare for their forever homes, it’s finally Ruby Ann’s turn to find her special person. Ruby Ann is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. She cherishes her people and is happiest simply being by their side. Whether you're busy working or relaxing, she’ll curl up nearby to keep you company. She doesn’t demand constant attention; she just wants to feel included in your life. Ruby Ann has a playful streak too. She enjoys her toys, loves chewing on bones, and is definitely a fan of snacks—she'll be exceptionally grateful for anything edible. Ruby Ann is fully potty trained and progressing well with her crate training. She’s also learning basic commands and has a mind of her own that adds to her charm. Listening well and eager to please, she’s making strides every day. More than anything, Ruby Ann deserves a home where she can finally experience what it’s like to be someone’s cherished pet. She has spent far too long surviving, rescuing herself, and taking care of her puppies. Now, she longs for the simple joys—a cozy bed, favorite people, tasty snacks, and all the security that comes with knowing she has a home. With her puppies set to leave for their forever homes soon, Mama Ruby Ann is ready for hers. She no longer needs saving; she just needs love. If you’re seeking a sweet, affectionate companion who will happily curl up at your feet while you work, follow you around the house, and share a peaceful coexistence, Ruby Ann might just be the perfect match for you.
