About Bear
Bear is a striking adult male German Shepherd, brought to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley after being found on Fifth Street in Marietta, Ohio. With his classic black-and-tan coat, long bushy tail, and a distinguished German Shepherd face, he has a keen look enhanced by his dark brown eyes and erect ears. Although he wore a collar with his name, Bear did not have an ID tag or microchip, making it uncertain if his family will reclaim him. During his initial photos, Bear showcased his spirited personality, especially when encountering the shelter's mascots, the kitties. Based on his reactions, it's clear that he does not get along with cats, so a feline-free home would be best. Weighing approximately 70-75 lbs, Bear is strong on the leash, requiring a firm handler to manage his energy. While Bear is not yet altered or vaccinated, potential adopters should note that he will be in the shelter for three days to allow time for his family to claim him. What are you waiting for?
