About Derek

Meet Derek, a charming little guy who's just arrived from a high-intake shelter. At only two months old, he's a mix of Dachshund and Chihuahua, bringing a unique blend of personalities. Since he’s new to the rescue, we’re still learning about his habits and quirks. A veterinarian will evaluate him soon to clear him for interactions with other animals. Derek has already been neutered and is current on vaccinations. If you're considering adopting him, please fill out an adoption questionnaire. We operate on a first-come, best-match basis. Bringing everyone—kids and other pets—together for the initial meeting is crucial to find the right fit. If all goes well, same-day adoptions are encouraged! Your new best friend is just one click away.
