About Squall

Meet Squall! Some dogs seem to know when they’ve finally found a safe place to land. For Squall, that has been his foster home, and now he’s eager for his forever home. Upon arrival at CARE, Squall was skinny and undernourished. After receiving proper care and nutrition, he has made a remarkable turnaround. His coat is now shiny, his eyes sparkle, and his playful personality has flourished. This handsome boy is bursting with puppy-like energy and loves having fun. Hand him a tennis ball, and he’s ready to play! He can chase and retrieve for as long as you're willing to throw it, happily bringing it back for another go. He enjoys walks and exploring the world with his keen nose. Continued leash training and impulse-control guidance will help channel his enthusiasm as he sniffs out interesting scents. Squall also has a calmer side. Once playtime is done, he settles beautifully. He’s content to lounge nearby while you go about your day and loves curling up for some well-deserved couch cuddles. Completely house-trained in his foster home, he's displayed excellent manners during mealtimes and sleeps peacefully through the night. On the training front, Squall has shown he’s quite smart. He knows commands like sit, stay, and here, takes treats gently, and patiently waits for the okay to eat. He’s been working on down and heel, showing promising progress. His love for toys, treats, and attention makes learning enjoyable, helping him gain confidence and skills. Squall is friendly with both people and dogs, enjoying time with his foster family, including their 12-year-old grandson. Feel free to give him thoughtful introductions to new people and pets, allowing everyone the time to get comfortable. Having undergone such a significant transformation, Squall now needs someone to invest in him. He craves someone who appreciates his goofy energy, encourages his growth, and loves him unconditionally. Whether as your fetch buddy, walking companion, training partner, or the dog curled up beside you at the end of the day, Squall has a heart full of love and potential. Choose him, and you won't regret it.
