About Ginger

Ginger is a sweet and curious girl who embodies a blend of shyness and bravery. As a devoted “Velcro kitty,” she loves to stay close by, often following her favorite humans around. You might find her curled up on the bathmat or even investigating the tub after a shower. Initially cautious around new people, she opens up quickly and greets you joyfully once she feels safe. This playful kitty keeps herself entertained with interactive toys and can easily occupy herself when her humans are busy. She has a unique way of communicating, trilling while she plays and softly meowing to get attention. Ginger enjoys cheek rubs and chin scratches, often rubbing against your legs as a sign of affection or to remind you it’s mealtime. Her playful antics promise to bring smiles, whether she’s pouncing on her toys or exploring her hiding spots. Ginger thrives in a quieter home without young kids or other pets, where she can find cozy places to retreat while building her confidence. After overcoming a tough past, she’s ready for a loving forever home. Please note that we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, including parts of Maryland and Virginia. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
