About Marcie

Meet Marcie, a playful 10-12 week old Pit Bull/Hound mix currently weighing in at 24 pounds. Marcie made a lucky escape from an unfortunate fate just in time, arriving on a freedom van. Now she's adjusting to life in a loving home and learning the ropes of being a dog. Living with kids ages 12 to 15, a big 100-pound dog, two cats, and a guinea pig, Marcie is truly a social butterfly. She loves interacting with humans of all ages, thriving on companionship and the guidance of other dogs. She's learning how to play nicely as she navigates her teething phase. While she’s curious about cats, she has been respectful and takes their cues. Marcie is doing great with potty training and is gradually getting used to her crate, an important skill she’ll continue to develop in her forever home. We're also helping her learn to express herself without barking. With some outdoor exercise, enriching toys, and practice in patience, she’s making excellent progress. If you’re ready for lots of puppy love and excitement, Marcie is your girl! The adoption fee of $500 covers spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, heartworm treatment, and any other necessary medical care to ensure Marcie is healthy. Since she comes from a rescue, please remember that breed and size cannot be guaranteed, but we assure you she is 100% RESCUED, and that's what matters most! *Please note: We've home visits as part of the adoption process, and we're unable to adopt to families outside of Chicago and its surrounding suburbs.
