About Rei

Meet Rei, the Professional Groundhog Impersonator! Rei is a playful 3-year-old Pomeranian mix with short legs and a heart full of potential. Although she came from a hoarding situation and was once described as "feral," she’s been making incredible strides in learning to trust people. With a mix of patience and kindness from her caretakers, Rei has discovered that adventures await when you embrace the leash, and a scratch behind the ears can feel pretty good. Rei is good with other dogs, cats, and has even shared her home happily with children. She thrives in the company of confident canine friends who can help her along her journey of self-discovery. While she often experiences shyness, she has been known to break into playful zoomies once she’s comfortable, and she’ll even sit up on her back legs like an adorable little groundhog when she’s excited. Importantly, Rei needs a home where she won’t be crated, as it adds to her anxiety. She prefers to relax on the couch while her family is away. A securely fenced yard is also required for her safety. Rei’s growth has been inspiring, and with the right family who can give her the time and reassurance she needs, she’s sure to blossom even more. If you’re ready to accept this charming, timid fluff nugget into your family, Rei will surely reward you with affection and joy. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
