About Luke

Luke was born in the forests of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, where he faced many challenges early in life. Rescued at three months old with his mother and brother, Luke escaped a grim fate that many dogs experience there. Now a joyful ten-month-old, he thrived in foster care and transformed from a timid puppy into a loving companion. This medium-sized boy is calm yet playful, enjoying long walks, hiking, and car rides. He adores spending time with people, including kids, and gets along well with dogs and even cats. Luke enjoys cuddling with his humans and will fit in well in a family that allows him to adjust at his own pace. With a gentle spirit, he seeks a playful canine sibling or will happily thrive as the only pet in a quiet home. Luke does have some scars from his past, a testament to his resilience, but this doesn’t hinder his happiness or desire to love. He is crate trained, house trained, and knows basic commands. While he has faced health issues, he’s now healthy and ready for a loving forever home. With the right family, Luke is poised to continue blossoming into the charming pup he has become. If you think you could be a good match, don’t hesitate to reach out!
