About Gretel

Meet Gretel, a lovely 14-year-old calico cat with a gentle spirit. She previously lived in a caring home with her owner, who was a dedicated volunteer at the Hiawatha Animal Humane Society. Sadly, that changed recently. Gretel adores curling up on laps when she finds one available and enjoys lounging in sunny spots by the window, watching the world go by. Though she prefers her quiet time and keeps to herself instead of mingling with younger fosters, she’s affectionate and loving. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped, making her a healthy companion ready for a new home. Gretel also gets along well with cats, dogs, and children, making her adaptable to various family situations. Nestled at Hiawatha Animal Humane Society, she’s part of their Senior for Seniors program, offering a reduced adoption fee for senior pet parents. Call or text her foster mom, Julie, at 507-259-5958 to learn more about welcoming Gretel into your heart and home. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
