About Dixy
Dixy is a charming 1- to 2-year-old, 6.4-pound red-and-white Long Haired Chihuahua mix seeking a loving family. Rescued from a situation where her previous family had too many dogs, she’s on a journey to learn what it means to be a cherished indoor pet. Though she’s spent most of her life outdoors, she’s adaptable and is currently learning about the comforts of indoor living. Dixy is a bit shy but quickly warms up, showing her sweet and social side. She enjoys the company of children and gets along well with other dogs, making her a great addition to a family. She’s already familiar with the command “Come” and is working on housetraining and leash training, so a patient family would be ideal. Be aware that she has a knack for escaping, so a secure yard is a must. Dixy is vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to find a kind and understanding home. If you’re looking for a tiny companion with a big heart, Dixy might just be the one for you. Give her the chance she deserves; she’s eager to start this new chapter in her life!
