Marley’s journey has been filled with challenges, but his future shines bright! This charming little guy was found abandoned in a plastic crate outside a PetSmart in Stockton, CA. He arrived in dire condition, severely matted and underweight at just 5 pounds. Thanks to a compassionate groomer and the dedicated team at the Animal Friends Connection, Marley has received vital care and is now on the road to recovery. At around 5 years old, Marley is a Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese mix who currently weighs 6.85 pounds. His loving nature shines through; he enjoys playing with other dogs and loves human companionship. While he is learning the ropes of house and leash training, he uses the doggie door at the sanctuary for potty breaks, and with some reinforcement, he’ll master it in no time. His beautiful long coat will require regular grooming, so his new family should be ready to maintain his fabulous look. Because of his size, Marley is looking for an adult-only home or one with calm, respectful teenagers who can handle him gently. He truly deserves a loving family that will cherish him forever.
