About Mikey

Meet Mikey, the pocket-sized athlete with a heart of gold. At 3 years old and 24 lbs, he brings a joyful energy to every moment. Mikey has a unique backstory, having started his life in a crowded Houston junkyard alongside many other dogs. Despite those tough beginnings, he now has an infectious ear-to-ear smile and is ready for a loving family. Mikey is a little bundle of athletic joy. Agile and enthusiastic, he enjoys jumping and would shine on an agility course or hiking trail. Currently fostered with seven other dogs, he thrives in a lively playgroup setting, playing, running, and wrestling with his furry friends. However, he wouldn't mind being your solo companion, soaking up all the love and attention you have to offer. While Mikey loves his adventures, his true superpower is his cuddling ability. Once playtime is over, this world-class lap dog loves nothing more than to launch himself right into your lap and snuggle. He’s a loyal companion who wants to be wherever you are. Mikey’s in excellent health, heartworm negative and ready for his next adventure. He has a unique patch of shorter hair on his back, affectionately called his signature look.
