About Quark

Quark is a delightful Westie mix, estimated to be around 2 years old and weighing 10-12 lbs. Rescued from a tough situation in Yakima, he arrived with his brother, Atom. Their past involved some neglect, but Quark has truly flourished in foster care. Now residing in Seattle, he’s a sweetheart who enjoys cuddling and can be quite the quiet companion, making him a perfect work-from-home buddy. He’s a big fan of sleeping in and being handled by his humans, welcoming all the love they give him. Though he walks well on a leash, Quark is a bit skittish around new people and noises. He can growl or bark at other dogs, often to give himself space, but he prefers to avoid confrontations. Quark is known to chase after squirrels and rabbits, embracing his terrier instincts! A patient and understanding adopter will help him continue to shine. Quark would flourish in a calm household with a consistent routine, ideally with older, dog-savvy children. He is not suited for homes with cats due to his reactivity. If you are ready to show Quark the love and support he needs, he will undoubtedly return it tenfold.
