About Brownie
Meet Brownie! This 1.5-year-old, 42-pound Shepherd mix is sweet, energetic, and affectionate, convinced the world revolves around her—and honestly, she may have a point. Brownie's journey began in South Texas, where she was found as a puppy in terrible shape, covered in fleas and ticks. Thankfully, some kind souls took her in and gave her a chance. However, as she grew, her puppy energy became apparent, and her previous family felt unprepared for her needs. Rather than take her to a shelter, they surrendered her to a wonderful sanctuary where she has been safe for the past seven months. Despite her captivating personality, Brownie has yet to find her forever home. She’s a vocal girl who knows what she wants and will express her opinions. Brownie adores attention, and she believes she should be the center of your world. She would thrive with a family that can match her energy and keep her engaged in activities—she loves outdoor adventures, playtime, and even trying to catch birds! Brownie has a playful disposition and would do well with kids, enjoying their company and all the attention they provide. She's also friendly with other dogs and would be perfectly happy sharing her space. While Brownie hasn't been formally tested with cats, her sweet demeanor suggests she may do well with proper introductions. Currently, she is crate-trained and working on her house manners and needs a family willing to guide her through this process with patience. Brownie is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to bring joy to a new family. If you're ready to welcome an energetic and affectionate companion into your life, Brownie may just be the playful spirit you’re looking for. Seven months is far too long to wait for a forever family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
