Meet Buddy! Buddy is a 2-year-old, 47-pound Shepherd mix who has spent his life in a sanctuary, waiting for a family to call his own. Rescued as a tiny puppy along the Texas/Mexico border, Buddy and his siblings have faced delays and disappointments from two different rescues. Thankfully, we're stepping in to help him find a forever home. This laid-back, sweet boy is food-motivated and enjoys the simple pleasures in life. While he's calm and relaxed indoors, take him outside, and you'll witness his playful side as he runs and gets the most adorable zoomies! Buddy thinks he's a lap dog, blissfully unaware of his size, and loves to snuggle close to his humans. Buddy loves other dogs and would happily welcome a canine companion to play with. He’s also good with well-behaved children and might do well with cats too, thanks to his gentle demeanor. Currently crate-trained and mostly house-trained, Buddy is ready to transition into family life with some patience and care. This adventurous pup loves car rides and outdoor exploration. He’s even a fan of scooter rides—an unusual trait! But underneath it all, he has one quirky habit: tipping over his food bowl when it’s empty, making sure everyone knows he’s ready for a refill.
