About Nyla
Nyla is a striking Black Lab and German Shepherd mix born in December 2025. This sweet girl came to the shelter through no fault of her own, hoping to find the forever home she truly deserves. As a baby, Nyla is still in her energetic puppy stage, needing a family ready to invest in her training, exercise, and love. Her new family should focus on helping her learn basic obedience and establish a good potty routine, making this an opportunity to watch her blossom into a wonderful adult companion. While a fenced yard is preferred, itโs not a strict requirement if her family is dedicated to ensuring she gets enough exercise and mental stimulation. With the right introductions, she could fit in well with other dogs and children, though a cat-free home might be best unless careful introductions are made. Nyla is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully ready to find her forever home. If youโre ready for the joys and responsibilities of raising a big puppy, Nyla could be the match you've been waiting for. To adopt, you must live within approximately 100 miles of one of our adoption sites in Benld or Springfield, IL, and be at least 18 years old. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
