About Buddy
Buddy is an exceptional young dog who has come a long way. Found as a stray, he was dirty, limping, and missing an eye, but his spirit refused to be broken. He cautiously approached a kind person who consistently brought him food, and after weeks of showing up, he finally let go of his fear. With patience and care, he was taken to a vet, where he underwent treatment for his injuries. While Buddy has some lingering effects from the ordeal—a bullet in his elbow and bone fragments—he runs with impressive speed and agility, proving just how resilient he is. This loveable fellow is neutered, up to date on his vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. His sweet demeanor shines through, despite his rough past. Buddy gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, making him a great match for any home. He is house trained and enjoys lounging on the couch while waiting for his foster family to return home. A second dog would really enhance his happiness, although he’s perfectly content as part of a family with cats too. Serious adopters are encouraged to fill out an application. Adoption includes transportation to New England, a health check, and a vet certificate before Buddy arrives. He’s ready to find his forever home where he can share his love and joy.
