Meet Keela Bee, a lovely brindle girl who brings charm and energy to every moment. At around 2–3 years old, this spayed female is ready to leave her shelter days behind and step into a forever home. With more than a year at the River Rouge Animal Shelter, she's been waiting patiently for just the right family to call her own. Now, with a taste of home-life from her foster family, Keela understands what it means to be loved and cared for. Keela Bee thrives in the company of dogs her size or slightly larger; small dogs and kitties are not really her thing. She gets along well with her two foster siblings, Steve and Evie. Smart and playful, Keela knows commands like Sit, Shake, and Down, and she adores belly rubs. A special bond with tennis balls keeps her entertained—she can be a bit selective about which one she claims as her own. This lively lady also has a spirited side; she’s proven to be a bit of a watchdog, alerting her foster family to interesting happenings. Keela is still learning her boundaries, especially around younger kids, as she can be a bit boisterous when excited. Older children (10+) would be her best match so she can play without worrying about knocking anyone over. A fenced-in yard would make her day, giving Keela the freedom to run, play, and lounge in the sun. After enduring over a year of waiting, she’s finally open to finding her true family.
