About Brownie
Meet Brownie! Brownie may experience the world a bit differently, but that doesn't slow him down. This incredibly sweet pup is vision impaired, yet he can still see shapes, shadows, and light. Growing up in a foster home, he’s learning to navigate his environment, build confidence, and become the independent boy he aspires to be. Brownie embodies a wonderfully sweet side, but don't underestimate his playful puppy energy! He enjoys belly rubs and chin scratches, and he gets adorably bouncy when excited. He loves to run and play with the larger dogs in his foster home, where he currently shares space with two big dogs and two cats, gaining valuable experience in a multi-pet household. While Brownie isn't a fan of being picked up, he shows a strong desire to prove he's a big boy, not needing extra pampering due to his vision. His future family will need to guide him securely while encouraging exploration, problem-solving, and independence. Having a confident doggy sibling might help him adjust, but he would be just as happy getting all the love and attention as the focal point of someone’s heart. Like any puppy, Brownie is a bundle of energy full of curiosity and enthusiasm. His new family should be ready for a training journey that might need some adjustments due to his vision, but with love and patience, he can learn just like any other dog. Currently, Brownie is on a prescription diet, as other foods upset his stomach. His adopter should plan to consult with a veterinarian soon after adoption to maintain his diet and explore other foods that suit him better. While we’re unsure about his exact breed mix, he has shown quite a bit of growth during his time in foster, likely making him a medium-to-large dog as he matures. Brownie is looking for a loving family that will provide the guidance he needs to thrive, with plenty of belly rubs and lovable chaos to share. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
