About Zoe

Meet Zoe, the most stunning and affectionate kitty you can imagine! Zoe's journey started when she was brought to the Orange County Animal Shelter. Weighing in at 23 lbs, she was twice the size of a healthy adult cat. After being surrendered by her family of twelve years due to the arrival of a new baby, she was understandably distressed, exhibiting some aggressive behavior when approached. A bout of upper respiratory infection added to her struggles, making her recovery challenging in such a high-stress environment. Fortunately, Zoe was moved into foster care where she has made remarkable progress. After a few weeks in a nurturing setting, she has learned to trust again. Brushing has become a highlight of her day, prompting purrs and gentle head rubs as she asks for more. Her coat gleams now, reflecting the love and care she's received. Zoe thrives on companionship, but she requires a specific environment: a home without young children or other cats. Understanding her boundaries is crucial; although she doesn't enjoy being picked up, she tolerates it when necessary. With a transformation of 6 lbs lost, Zoe feels more agile and is eager for attention. At 12 years old, she's vibrant and is looking forward to many healthy years ahead. A stable home where she can continue her gentle weight-loss journey will only help her blossom further. Her foster mom describes Zoe as loving, funny, and calm, highlighting her readiness to give love to the right person. Could you be the perfect match for big, beautiful Zoe? Let's arrange a meet and greet and find out!
