About Hope
Meet Hope, a delightful 1-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull mix currently in a loving foster home in Houston, TX. Weighing in at 43 pounds, Hope is a spayed female who shines with her sweet personality. She came to us as an owner surrender due to her previous owner’s inability to care for 12 dogs. Since then, she’s been thriving in her foster home, showing wonderful adaptability. Hope is dog friendly, living happily with another dog and enjoying spirited play sessions. She's been around children from infancy to age 5 and remains gentle, although she’s a bit shy. Hope would likely do best with children aged 8 and up who understand the importance of being calm around her. On her strolls, Hope walks well on a leash, staying by your side with an eager curiosity to sniff intriguing smells. While she is mostly potty trained, she can hold it for about 6 hours, and does well with potty pads if needed. Her ideal person is patient, as it takes time for her to warm up to new people, but the effort is worth it for her affectionate nature. With her stunning white and cream coat accented by patches of black, Hope not only catches eyes but also hearts. Her unique personality charms everyone around her, and she is often seen with her playful, pig-like sounds and silly antics.
