About Momo

Meet Momo! This charming seven-year-old Domestic Long Hair from Amherst, MA, has a striking tuxedo coat and a personality that makes her truly unforgettable. Weighing in at 12 pounds, Momo is not just a pretty face; she has a complex nature that thrives on meaningful connections. When she feels safe, her affectionate side shines, allowing for a wonderfully cuddly and loving relationship. Momo enjoys observing her surroundings from the comfort of her favorite perch, engaging in playful moments with spring toys when she feels the urge. However, this cat does need an experienced owner who understands feline boundaries. Momo has strong opinions about her space and may show territorial behavior with unfamiliar people, including occasional biting or scratching without an obvious reason. Therefore, she would flourish in a calm, child-free environment, ideally with one adult or a couple who can engage with her on her terms. Patience is key in her integration, as she requires a gradual introduction to new folks or situations. Momo has lived with dogs in the past, but her interactions are usually limited and non-playful. If there’s a dog in her new home, thoughtful introductions are essential. While she used to share her space with other cats, it's been some time since her last encounter, so slow introductions would be wise. Previously, Momo suffered from renal failure due to exposure to lily pollen but has since fully recovered. Currently, she has no ongoing health issues, is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. Keeping lilies out of her environment is crucial. If you’re an experienced caregiver who can appreciate Momo's fascinating quirks, provide her ample room to decompress, and value the affection she offers once trust is established, she will make a deeply cherished companion. Her next chapter holds promise for a bond built on patience, stability, and mutual respect. If you think you could be the right fit for Momo, reach out today to learn more!
