About Nigel

Meet Nigel, a lovable and playful boy ready to find his forever home! Rescued from an overcrowded local shelter, Nigel is around 3 years old and weighs 30 lbs. He’s a charming mix that looks like a blend of Basset Hound and Schnauzer. Short and scruffy, he has a personality that shines. Nigel thrives on companionship and activity. Currently fostered on a farm, he enjoys running and playing with other dogs and animals. After his energetic play sessions, he happily crashes on the couch for some relaxation. Nigel's ideal home includes other dogs and an active family who values outdoor adventures. Older kids who can engage with him are a plus. He does not display hyper behavior but does need a way to channel his energy; without it, boredom could lead to mischief. Nigel is house-trained and crate-trained, walks well on a leash, and is great on car rides. He’s neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Our adoption process prioritizes finding the right home for each individual pet. For those interested in adopting, please remember that bringing a new pet into your home may come with a few adjustments. Nigel is eager to please, and despite some initial excitement when let out, he’s already being guided in his training efforts. Ready to find out if you're the perfect match for Nigel? Don’t hesitate to apply!
