About Rubbie
Meet Rubbie, a 3-year, 7-month-old cat with an incredible journey. Rescued from the Paseo del Morro trail in Old San Juan, she was pulled from a colony just before plans to remove the cats were set in motion. Initially, Rubbie was a bit unsure about being around people. However, thanks to her foster mom's patience and care, she has come a long way. Now, she enjoys gentle pets and even cuddles up beside her foster mom at night! While Rubbie is friendly once she feels secure, she may act shy when meeting new people. For this reason, she would do best with an experienced adopter who can give her the time she needs to adjust. Rubbie thrives in the company of fellow felines and would fit well in a home with other cats or as a single pet. However, a dog-free environment is preferred for her comfort. After multiple vet visits, Rubbie is in good health. She has had four molars removed, so it’s important for her diet to include wet food regularly. While she can eat small kibble, dry food shouldn't make up the entirety of her meals. Rubbie's vaccinations are up to date, and she's spayed, negative for FeLV and FIV, dewormed, and has received treatment with Revolution. Her adoption fee is $75. For approved adopters outside Puerto Rico, Save a Gato can assist with travel arrangements, though the adoptive parent would need to provide the airline-approved carrier. Rubbie has shown remarkable resilience in learning about kindness. Could you be the patient and loving person to offer her a forever home?
