About Artie
Say hello to Artie! This playful 4-year-old terrier mix has overcome a tough start and is now shining brightly. Artie was surrendered to a local shelter, arriving with fleas and a patchy coat, but he’s well on the way to looking like the handsome little guy he was meant to be. With proper care, his fur is filling in nicely, revealing his true charm. Artie’s personality matches his progress; he loves playing in the yard with his foster siblings and shows off his fetching skills like a pro. Cuddles are his forte, whether it’s snuggling beside you on the couch or in his cozy dog bed. He is crate trained but enjoys the freedom of having the house to roam when his family is home. Artie does have a sensitive stomach, so he avoids people food and uses a slow feeder. He enjoys walks and is working on his leash manners, earning him the nickname Houdini—he finds ways to wiggle into the smallest spaces. For this reason, a secure, fenced yard is essential for him. He could also thrive in an apartment with regular walks and plenty of exercise. Artie is a neutered young male, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, flea treated, and dewormed. He’s ready for a wonderful new start. If you believe Artie could be the right fit for your home, apply today!
