About Blanco
Meet Blanco. Blanco’s journey has been filled with challenges. After enduring a family divorce that left him tied to a porch in the heat, he struggled to find comfort and stability, losing weight until someone intervened. He may have faced difficulty at boarding, but now, he’s in a safe place where he can start to heal. This calm and incredibly sweet boy forms a special bond with his person. He might not give his heart away instantly, but once you earn his trust, he thrives on affection and companionship. A wonderful walking companion, he remains composed around other dogs, preferring to enjoy his walks and then retreat indoors to his cherished beds afterward. They are essential to his comfort; he’s protective of his spaces, which are managed thoughtfully in his foster home. Blanco has a sensitive side as well. Thunderstorms frighten him, and he seeks out a secure spot to hide. His favorite place is in the bedroom closet, where he feels safe during storms. He needs someone patient who respects his boundaries, as he prefers not to have his feet or ears handled. Even face kisses are reserved for those he truly trusts. After everything he’s endured, Blanco seeks just the basics: a safe home, a comfortable bed, and the loving attention of a human who understands him. Give him the time to trust you, and you’ll discover a loyal companion who has been waiting far too long for a place to truly belong. Your new best friend is just one click away.
