Rufus is an altered male Jack Russell Terrier mix, approximately 11 years old. He is small in size, with a lovely apricot and beige medium coat. Though not housetrained yet, he is vaccinated and ready for a warm and caring home located in Greensburg, PA.

About Rufus

Meet Rufus, a charming senior gentleman around 11 years old, thought to be a Jack Russell mix. He’s on the lookout for a loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort and kindness. Rufus came to us from a really tough situation and was in rough shape when he first arrived. With much-needed veterinary care, including a dental procedure, he’s feeling much better and ready for a fresh start. This little scruffy guy loves the simple joys in life. He enjoys short walks and has a curious nature, sniffing around and taking in the world at his own pace. Mealtime is a highlight for him, as he is very food motivated. Rufus is not housetrained, so his new family will need to devote time and patience to help him learn. He gets along wonderfully with both cats and dogs, and older, respectful children would be great too. Despite having only five teeth left, he still manages to enjoy his meals and bring joy to everyone around him. As a senior, he seeks a calm, loving home where he can rest and feel safe.
