About Avellana

Meet Avellana! Don’t let her age of 12 fool you; Avellana—Avi to her friends—is ready for adventures! This 40-pound Hound/Husky mix is sweet, playful, and full of energy. Avi enjoys long walks, soft toys, and treats, preferring to be wherever her favorite person is. She’d be an excellent companion for casual hikes and loves to express herself with barks and howls, often joining in if you start howling. This affectionate pup is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. She sleeps through the night and has the delightful habit of not getting on furniture. Avi interacts well with other dogs, but she’d also be happy as your one and only. She would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, ideally with someone who is home most of the time to keep her company, as she can be anxious when left alone. Apartment life isn’t for Avi, given her love for vocal expression. If you’re in search of a spirited sidekick who doesn’t act her age, Avellana could be the one for you. What are you waiting for?
