About CHOCO great with

Meet CHOCO! Choco is currently in foster care in Dundalk, MD and is ready for meet and greets with approved adopters. Estimated to be around one year old and weighing about 35-40 lbs, he’s believed to be a Lab and Shepherd mix. This stunning dog has adjusted remarkably well to his new environment. Choco thrives in the company of other dogs and has been a joy to his foster family, playing and running around the yard with his canine companions. His friendly demeanor extends to people as well; he is gentle and affectionate, especially with children. His foster mom's 9-year-old daughter adores him, sharing cuddles and kisses, and Choco respects her space while also showing enthusiasm for their interactions. He may take a moment to warm up, but when he does, expect all the snuggles you can handle. Choco is house trained and does all his business outside, plus he’s crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night. He also walks well on a leash, showing good training. While he can alert you to unfamiliar sounds, he is generally a calm dog without separation anxiety. Choco is not a food guarder and enjoys his meals. He travels well and remains composed in the car. Choco gets along splendidly with his sibling Nate; while they are great together, they can also be adopted separately. Choco has a special backstory too—rescue from the streets of Puerto Rico—and is looking for a family who will cherish him. Together, Choco and Nate could make a wonderful duo or Choco could shine brightly on his own. This lovable dog is ready to find his forever home! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
