Zeus is a loving and intelligent 8-year-old dog, recently surrendered by his owner. Initially described as having "behavioral issues," it turned out he simply struggles with separation anxiety. With some extra care and patience, he can thrive. Thunderstorms make him uneasy, but comfort and medication help him cope. Though he’s crate trained, he prefers to be out and about. Having been around kids, Zeus has shown friendliness towards everyone he meets, from neighbors to shoppers at Home Depot. He’s a talkative husky mix who can bark for attention, especially when playing. Though he gets along with other dogs, Zeus might shine as an only pet, soaking up all the love. His strong personality suggests a bit of a leader in him. While he's leash trained, short walks are recommended initially due to a cruciate ligament tear in one of his back legs, which doesn’t affect his mobility. Zeus isn’t a simple dog to own, but he is far from a project. He simply needs someone who can understand him and provide the care he deserves.
