Velvet and her siblings were discovered abandoned in a box outside the Hazlehurst, GA Chamber of Commerce when they were just 5 weeks old. After spending the first half of her life in a shelter, it's time for Velvet to experience love and the comfort of a family. This sweet girl is around 7-8 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. Velvet is a black Lab mix with a gentle nature, although she can be a little shy when encountering new situations. She enjoys running and playing, especially in water, and would thrive in a fenced yard where she can build her confidence safely. Velvet gets along well with dogs and children, making her a great addition to a loving home. Since she’s never lived in a house before, she’ll need some assistance with house training. Velvet has already been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and received flea and tick prevention.
