About Schottky
Schottky is a sweet little guy who simply longs for love and companionship. With a good amount of energy, he often dashes to his favorite spot in the house, joyfully wiggling and jumping before curling up for a good nap. Cuddling is high on his list of favorite activities, alongside being petted by his loved ones. He has a bit of anxiety and seeks a patient owner who can help him adjust to a stable, loving environment. Schottky prefers having someone nearby to ease his separation anxiety. It’s essential that he be secured in his crate when left alone, as he can be quite resourceful when it comes to escaping. At night, he comfortably sleeps in his crate as long as it’s close to his person. While Schottky is curious about new people, he can be somewhat skittish at first. Slow introductions are best, but he quickly warms up and enjoys being petted. He is house trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the house; regular outdoor breaks keep him on track. Schottky is also making strides with leash training, enjoying leisurely walks where he likes to take in the sights, sometimes stopping to soak up the sun. He met a large Labrador retriever and showed no fear, eagerly investigating him. He has also observed smaller dogs from a distance, staying relaxed and wagging his tail, suggesting he may do well with a canine companion to boost his confidence. The perfect home for Schottky is a quiet adult environment with a fenced yard and someone around much of the time. With plenty of love to give, he will be a loyal, sweet companion for the right person.
