About Scout

Scout is a striking adult male Yellow Labrador Retriever, likely around 5 years old. He was found near the Hune Bridge on State Route 26 in Marietta, Ohio, and brought to our shelter on September 28, 2026. Scout wore a collar with his name, but sadly, it lacked any identification tags. Despite being microchipped, efforts to locate his owner have not been successful. This handsome dog boasts a short yellow/ivory coat and has a gentle, approachable demeanor. Scout has a long tail, a sweet face with dark brown eyes, and large floppy ears that only add to his charm. It's important to note that his left eye appears cloudy, which may indicate impaired vision therein. Scout weighs about 50 lbs and combines beauty with a longing for home. He will undergo a mandatory three-day stray hold to allow his original family to reclaim him, providing proof of ownership. For now, Scout is hoping to reunite with a loving family soon.
