About Hope

Meet Hope, a delightful 1-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier and Pit Bull mix currently thriving in a foster home in Houston, TX. This sweet girl weighs around 43 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to find her forever family. Hope came to us as an owner surrender; her previous owner couldn't care for her and her eleven siblings anymore. Now, she’s living a comfortable life while waiting for someone special. Hope is friendly around other dogs, happily sharing her space with her foster sibling. She might be a little shy at first, but once she feels secure, she becomes an energized bundle of joy and a gentle cuddle buddy. Hope loves to play chase and will engage happily with playful pups. Though she hasn’t met any cats yet, we can arrange a cat test for serious adopters. With children, she's a gem! Hope has been around little ones from infants to 5 years old and remains calm and sweet, making her an excellent choice for families. Ideally, she'd thrive with kids aged 8 and up who can be gentle and respectful. Walking on a leash is another one of her strengths. She's calm on walks and takes it all in, though she does enjoy stopping to sniff the world around her. Hope is mostly potty trained; she can hold it for about six hours and is accommodating to potty pads when needed. Just a note: she prefers not to be crated for long periods, but she enjoys free-roaming time with her toys. Hope’s foster mom describes her as a spunky little thing who effortlessly blends energy and calmness, adjusting to your mood. She's playful and loves to snuggle, even jumping on the bed for some affection. However, she does need patience as she can be shy with new faces and loud noises. Meeting her is sure to bring smiles—her funny antics, unique eye colors, and charming personality are guaranteed to brighten your day! Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let's get started.
