About Bumper

Bumper is currently enjoying life with a wonderful foster family while he awaits his forever home. Known as Ranger in his foster home, this sweet boy weighs around 80 pounds and has a large heart to match. He arrived at the shelter as a stray, so his past is a mystery. What we do know is that Bumper adores both adults and children. He is dog-selective and would thrive in a home without cats or small animals. Fully house-trained, he already knows commands like sit, off, down, leave it, and shake. He's currently improving on stay and heel, and with some guidance, he’s learning to walk nicely on a leash. Bumper is also getting used to his crate, but he struggles with separation anxiety. When he notices you've left, he might serenade you with some loud howls, so his future family should be ready to support him in building his confidence when alone. When he’s not working on his manners, Bumper enjoys squeaky toys, snuggling, and napping, particularly during car rides. This lovable, goofy guy truly deserves a family of his own. The right home is out there, and we can’t wait to see him find his perfect match. To meet Bumper, visit Guilford County Animal Services any day between 12 and 4, except Tuesday.
