Meet NATE! Nate is currently being fostered in Dundalk, MD, where he's ready for meet and greets with approved adopters! At around 1 year old, Nate weighs approximately 35-40 lbs and is believed to be a mix of Labrador and Shepherd. He has a stunning appearance and an adaptable personality. His foster mom adores him, noting that he quickly settled into his new environment. Energetic and full of life, Nate gets along wonderfully with other dogs; he's shared his foster home with at least 10 different canine companions. Watching him romp in the yard with these friends is a joy! Nate is also fantastic with children, often found cuddling with a 9-year-old girl in his foster home, happily giving her kisses. With a preference for snuggles, he's the type that would relish cozying up on the couch for a movie night. Being 100% house trained, Nate takes care of all his business outside. Crate trained and an excellent sleeper, he stays quietly in his crate at night with no fuss. Leash trained as well, he walks well on a leash, making outings enjoyable. Generally quiet unless alerted by unfamiliar sounds, Nate isn't a persistent barker. He calmly handles being crated alone, showing no signs of separation anxiety. Additionally, he's a good eater and does not guard his food. Nate has a very special personality. He is fostered alongside his sibling, Choco, and while they certainly enjoy each other's company, both can be adopted separately. If you're looking for two, these two complement each other beautifully. With Nate being outgoing and Choco a bit more reserved, they balance one another out perfectly. Nate's journey began as a tiny stray puppy in Puerto Rico, rescued with his sibling by a dedicated young rescuer. We're excited to find him the forever family he deserves! Ready to fall in love?
