About Lark

Estimated DOB: October 2024 Meet Lark, a cat who has truly shown the power of resilience. Her story began in November 2025 when she was found seeking warmth outside a Hy-Vee grocery store. As winter approached, good-hearted community members stepped in, providing her with food and creating a warming shelter to keep her safe. In March 2026, Lark resurfaced, this time heavily pregnant and injured. Thanks to the quick action of a local volunteer and the cooperation of several organizations, she was safely trapped and received crucial veterinary care in Sioux Falls, where her wounds began to heal. Now in foster care, Lark has transformed into a loving mother to her kittens and a beloved companion to her human friends. She is inquisitive about life around her and enjoys a relaxed environment. Lark has learned to trust and is searching for the final piece of her journey: her forever home. Her heart holds the hopes of her village, who rallied together for her. Lark is a gentle soul who gets along well with other cats and is looking for a loving home to call her own.
