Katarina is a remarkable 1.5-year-old, 67 lb German Shepherd mix with an incredible heart. She was saved from an abandoned house, where she was found caring for her four puppies, and went above and beyond by nurturing three more abandoned puppies just weeks old. This girl is all about love, protection, and nurturing. Now that her babies are safe, it's time for her to find her own forever home. Katarina delights in belly rubs, and she will roll over for all the affection you can offer. She's great with children and has a sweet, gentle demeanor with her humans. Katarina also enjoys the company of other dogs, so having canine friends is something she’d cherish. Fully potty trained and mostly crate trained, she does require a robust crate since she's strong enough to break out of standard ones. Katarina is not compatible with goats or chickens and would likely not do well with cats either; she needs a home without small livestock or feline companions.
