About Ernie

Ernie is a medium-sized American Staffordshire Terrier with a playful personality. He loves to have fun with toys and can be quite the goofball. While he enjoys some independence at the shelter, expect him to open up more in a home where he can relax and adapt to his new environment. When out for walks, Ernie prefers to wear a harness. He might be a bit too much for young, noisy children due to his energetic nature, so a home with older kids who can appreciate his size and spirit would be ideal. Ernie can be awkward around other dogs but may thrive with compatible companions, so a dog intro is recommended. This pet is part of a 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program, allowing you to foster him first to see how he fits into your family. Ernie is neutered and vaccinated, ready for his forever home.
