Gracie Lou is house trained and is currently located in Monroe, MI. Though she is heartworm positive, she is receiving treatment, ensuring she’s on her way to a happy and healthy life.

About Gracie Lou

Gracie Lou was found wandering the streets of Detroit after her family moved away and left her behind. Now around 6 years old, she's likely had several litters and had been through a lot before finding her way to safety. When she was rescued, she was very skinny and needed care to recover. This sweet girl just wants to cuddle and relax with her people. She doesn't need constant activity and is perfectly content as a laid-back companion. Gracie Lou can be a bit shy with new experiences due to her past, but she’s gradually learning that the world can be a safe and comforting place. You'll often find her enjoying her crate, a cozy haven she chooses to retreat to. Currently, Gracie Lou is heartworm positive and has begun treatment with Heritage Animal Hospital. If adopted before her treatment completes, the rescue will ensure her ongoing care is covered. Gracie Lou gets along well with other dogs, and there’s even a heartwarming picture of her with horses! She's not been tested with cats yet. After all she’s faced, Gracie Lou truly deserves a loving home. She will undoubtedly be a wonderful companion for someone.
