About Moose

Meet Moose, a striking Rottweiler who found his way to us through county animal control following the loss of his owner. Unfortunately, his family couldn't care for him due to his size. Moose is still getting accustomed to his new environment, but he’s shown a gentle nature while being handled by various volunteers at the shelter. He’s spent time in the play yard with two other males and generally gets along well with other dogs. However, during one meet-and-greet, he did express himself by growling at a lady, so a calm introduction is ideal. Mr. Moose has not yet been neutered, but he will be before adoption. Given his history of living outdoors, we prefer adopters with a secure, fenced yard. He tested positive for heartworm but is currently on a manageable treatment and shows no symptoms. If you’re looking for a loving companion, contact us to meet this gentle giant! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
