Meet Slim Jim! This young Terrier mix has triumphed over a tough past, having been found severely malnourished and dealing with internal parasites and heartworms. After undergoing painful heartworm treatment followed by two months of strict crate rest, he is finally fit, cheerful, and ready to find his forever home. Despite his hardships, Slim Jim lights up any room with his sweet disposition. He gets along wonderfully with kids (his foster family has children aged 9 and 14), other dogs, and even lives with two cats—though he might chase them in play, he means no harm. Slim Jim is house trained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash. He loves everyone he meets and just wants a loving family to call his own. Slim Jim has fought hard for this second chance, and now he needs someone to open their heart and home to him.
